Khalifa AlHajri - Scenography Workshop
Participants will learn theatrical scenic design i.e. stage design including lights, props, and décor. They will learn the skill of reading and analyzing a script to transform it into a tangible, accurate and aesthetic scene.
AlHajri is an Assistant Professor in Scenography and Fine Art. He graduated from the University of Leeds, UK, and currently works at The Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in the Stage Design Department of Kuwait. AlHajri is a jury member in many international festivals, as well as a member of The International Organization of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT). He is currently one of LAPA’s Executive Board members.
Requirements:
- Pencil: HB-B2-H1.
- A3 sketchbook.
- Ruler - Eraser.
- Acrylic colors large size * ready set (black - white - red - green - yellow - blue).
- 3 large - medium - small brushes.
- Used cardboard pieces of different sizes.
- Large Cutter.
- Glue Gun.

Ebtsam Alhamadi - Costume Design Workshop
Participants will enter the world of costume design theoretically by understanding the philosophy of design and understanding characters through dialogue, time, and place by special methods of reading texts. They will also practically choose materials and colors that accurately represent characters to design their costumes while maintaining harmony with stage decor.
As a Kuwaiti artist and assistant professor at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts—Department of Stage design, Alhamadi has many local and Arab memberships and has won many awards in designing theatrical costume; such as "Man Menhom Howa", which won six awards and participated in local, Gulf and Arab festivals. She has also designed many works for adult and children's theaters. In addition, Alhamadi designs historical costumes such as the ones for "Kohl Aswad, Qalb Abyad," "Um Haroun," "Sama Alia," "Al-Namous,"and Margaret TV series.
