Colors of Music:
A competition has been designed to showcase the art through music presented by professional artists.
Artists have four hours to create an artwork in their own style while listening to music representing various cultures worldwide.
As part of the competition, painters will be required to listen to a selected piece of music while they paint their artwork on canvas, this canvas will represent a space of ultimate freedom, where painters can explore, express, and reflect their creativity.
The competition painters will create paintings that visually represent the music with the use of colors and brush strokes. After the competition, 24 paintings will be selected for display at the CAP gallery, where they will be exhibited for a week.

Objectives:
The goal is to enhance the global citizenship of artists.
It is important to increase one's understanding and appreciation of different cultures.
Increase artistic discipline by having artists listen to one genre of music for an extended period, allowing for free creative expression.

Rules:
In order to be selected, applicants are required to submit an art portfolio.
Artworks submitted must have been created within the last 5 years.
The director of LAPA's fine art department, Amira Behbehani, will be responsible for selecting the artists.
Artists are required to bring their own art supplies, including colors, brushes, and any other necessary materials.
Size of the canvas provided by LAPA is 60 cm x 90 cm.
Only acrylic paint, ink, charcoal, colouring pencil and pastels are permitted for use during the competition.
You will be provided with canvas, easel, table, chair, and a headset sponsored by Ooredoo.
Artists are required to exclusively listen to the music that has been assigned to them, without any other alternatives. Any other options are not permitted.
Artists adhere to the 4-hour time limit for the competition.
Exhibition artists receive 45% of painting sales revenue.
Artists must commit to the day of the competition chosen by LAPA in their submission unless there is a major emergency.
All nationalities are welcome to participate.
